Description
The Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division (NAWCWD), China Lake, CA intends to procure on a full and open competition basis, one (1) multi-purpose X-Ray Diffractometer (XRD) system for evaluating the phase and structure of bulk or capillary sealed amorphous and polycrystalline samples. The system will be used for rapid phase identification, structure determination from powder data, Reitveld analysis of various materials, quantitative analysis and the real time characterization of phase changes induced by variations in temperature and/or chemical environment. The vendor will be required to certify that the offered equipment and software will perform precisely as described in the specification contained in the Request for Proposal. All capabilities including the minimum performance test are to be demonstrated during initial installation and training, and will be reviewed prior to acceptance of the instrument. A user?s course in operation of the XRD is required. Delivery of the system is FOB Destination to the NAWCWD 120 days after award of the contract. The solicitation will be issued on or about 10 March 2004 and will be available through the 2.0 Contracts Competency homepages at: https://contracts.nawcwd.navy.mil/rfp-nawc.htm. All responses must reference RFQ N68936-04-T-0055. Award will be issued under the authority of the test program for commercial items (FAR 13.5) on or about 22 April 2004. All responsible sources must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) Database. Responses must include all information requested in the Request for Quotation (RFQ).
