Description
This is a request for information / sources sought announcement to identify potential sources and gather information on current capabilities within the market. The Air Force Metrology Calibration Detachment is considering a purchase of an Magnetics Measurement Area Support. This is a general requirement to improve and/or increase measurement support capability for this measurement area. There are a number of items in this area that are stand-alone and have been in-service for many years. Items such as axial and transverse gauss meter probes, control units, gauss and flux meters and power supplies. This description is for a NMR Tesla meter which shall be of primary standards laboratory caliber and have the following minimum features/specifications. Resolution: 8 digits, 0.5nT for fields less than 100mT, 1.5nT for fields less than 0.5T and 5nT for fields less than 2.2T ; Field Strength: Range/1.4 microT to 2.2 T. Absolute Accuracy: +/- 50ppm for fields less than 100mT and +/- 5ppm for fields equal to and greater than 100mT. Frequency Stability: 1.8 parts in 10-8 from 0 to 50o C. Operating Temperature: 10 to 30o C. This shall be a digital NMR Tesla meter with IEEE 488.2 format programmable interface capability. The estimated quantity is 1 units. Offerors responding to this sources sought market research must (1) state whether they are a small or large business. (2) indicate if they are a small disadvantaged or woman-owned business, 8(a) firm, or a historically black college or university or minority institution (HBCU/MI), or a historically underutilized business zone (HUBZone) small business; (3) advise if you have the item on a GSA schedule (4) provide information concerning the technical capabilities of the product you are interested in offering, including commercial literature/brochures. (5) advise if you accept the Government purchase card; (6) any other pertinent information which would enable the government to assess your firm?s capabilities; (7) Provide Point of contact and assigned Commercial and Government Entity (CAGE) Code. This synopsis is for planning purposes only and is NOT to be construed as a commitment by the Government nor will the Government pay for information solicited hereunder.
