Description:&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspThe US Army Research Laboratory (ARL), intends to solicit on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR 6.302-2 from MTI MicroFuel Cells Inc., 431 New Karner Road, Albany, NY&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp12205 for the purchase of two 5 Watt Direct Methanol Fue l Cell Systems and two 750m Watt Direct Methanol Fuel Cell Systems.&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspThis procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP).&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspOnly one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The solicitation will be posted to the Army Single Face to Industry (ASFI) website at http://www.fedbizopps.gov.&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspInterested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit a proposal.&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspThis notice of intent is n ot a request for competitive proposals.&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspHowever, all proposals received on or before the response date indicated in this synopsis will be considered by the government.&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspA determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon res ponses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government.&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspInformation received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspNo telephone requests will be honored.&nbsp&nbsp&nbsp&nbspSee numb ered note 22**********
