- Description
- (Phase 1) ? Construct a Heavy Drop Rigging Facility, to include covered vehicle preparation area, high line shed with rollers, cargo and personnel parachute drying and storage area 40-ton crane, 40-ton vehicle scale, and personnel operation area. Demolish and replace four buildings: munitions maintenance building, electrical substation, flight line security tower, and hot pit fire suppression facility (total 4,617 SF). (Phase II) ? Construct a Personnel Alert Holding Area (PAHA) and Vehicle and Pallet Processing Areas to include a High Line Shed, and a 40 ton capacity in-ground scale. The PAHA includes a Troop Alert Holding Area, Central Operational Area, Ammunition Issue, Covered Mockup Shed, and Call Forward area. Vehicle and Pallet Processing Areas include Initial Inspection, Ammo Loading, Alert Holding, Correction Team, Call Forward, Joint Inspection, and Frustrated Cargo areas; and also includes a Ready Line. Both facilities will include seismic, sound attenuation, and specific installation design and construction criteria. Supporting facilities include electric service, water, sanitary sewer, storm drainage, communications, building information systems, fire safety systems, exterior lighting, paving, walks, curbs and gutters, site improvements, and signage. Air conditioning (300 tons) will be provided by self-contained units. Connect energy management and control system (EMCS) and security monitoring system. Anti-terrorism/force protection (AT/FP) measures include fencing, barriers, walls, berms, and lighting. Access for the handicapped will be provided as required.
