- Description
- This solicitation is for "set aside" small businesses. NASA/MSFC has a requirement for a Motor/Speed Controller Package for the SSME Flowliner Crack Investigation. Listed are the requirements the motor must meet: Statement of Work This Statement of Work (SOW) is for the purchase of a motor/variable speed drive package to be used in testing at the Nozzle Test Facility (NTF) for the Experimental Fluids Dynamics Group, TD74, at Marshall Space Flight Center. The part number defining the package is Allen Bradley Impact drive part number 1336E-BRF100-AJ-EN-EN935-HJ2-L8E-MX3. The supplied package must meet the attached torque curve even if a part number change is required or upsizing of components is required.. The supplied motor is to match the drive. The drive will be supplied 460 vac and will supply drive power to the motor. Details of package are: 1.We anticipate using 4-20 ma as speed desired signal to controller so default configuration is to be as such. 2.Encoder feedback is required to allow for a speed regulation of +/- .4 rpm. 3.Motor and drive are to be a matched pair. 4.Motor to be inverter duty, special high speed construction, and must impart minimum vibration to load, as load will be direct coupled. 5.Floor mount kit to be provided for the speed controller. 6.If available, motor speed output indication is desired in a 4-20 ma or 0-10 vdc output. (including motor slip) [price as an option] 7.If available, motor torque output indication is desired in a 4-20 ma or 0-10 vdc output. [price as an option] 8.Lug kit 1336-LUG-XXX will be supplied to allow for interface of incoming power and to motor. 9.Manuals both operations and repair will be supplied in a hard copy form 10.Communications option GM2 is desired. [price as an option] In an effort to support the flowliner crack investigation, TD74 has an estimated need date of 3/30/04 for the drive package. Delivery location will be coordinated with the POC. TD74 request preliminary cut sheets be supplied prior to shipping to allow for pre-installation activities to begin.. Description: The package (defined by 1336E-BRF100-AJ-EN-EN935-HJ2-L8E-MX3 and attached torque curve) is a critical part of the SSME flowliner crack investigation testing . It is used in conjunction with the existing Nozzle test facility. The torques curve is avaliable by contacting Janet Appleton @ janet.appleton@msfc.nasa.gov. Deliverables: High speed 460 vac motor to meet attached torque curve and matched with speed controller Variable speed controller (460 vac) to meet the attached torque using the supplied Allen Bradley part number as a guide Manual Both deliverables are due 3/30/04. Travel: No travel is anticipated for the successful completion of this project. Period of Performance: Task Award ? 2/27/04 Task Completion ? 3/30/04 This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, which is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ); quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Offerors are required to use the On-Line RFQ system to submit their quote. The On-line RFQ system is linked above or it may be accessed at http://prod.nais.nasa.gov/cgi-bin/eps/bizops.cgi?gr=C&pin= . The information required by FAR Subpart 12.6 is included in the on-line RFQ. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12 and the Simplified Acquisition Procedures set forth in FAR Part 13. Questions regarding this acquisition must be submitted in writing (e-mail is preferred) no later than 2/19/2004 to Janet Appleton, @ janet.appleton@msfc.nasa.gov. It is the quoter's responsibility to monitor this site for the release of amendments (if any). Potential quoters will be responsible for downloading their own copy of this notice, the on-line RFQ and amendments (if any). An ombudsman has been appointed - See NASA Specific Note "B".
