- Description
- On behalf of the Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA), Humanitarian Assistance Program (HAP), Contracts Department, Marine Corps Logistics Command is seeking contractors who can provide repair, testing, calibration, and certification of medical equipment resident at the HAP facilities on board Marine Corps Logistic Base (MCLB), Albany. DSCA, HAP permits the Department of Defense (DoD) to transfer excess non-lethal property and privately donated humanitarian assistance relief material to countries in need. Work will be performed on an as needed basis at the HAP facility aboard MCLB. The contractor will be required to provide all equipment and tools required to conduct inspections, repair, and calibration. The types of equipment that may potentially require inspection/repair will range from items as complex as X-Ray machines or electrocardiographs to wheelchairs. All responsible resources are invited, at no cost to the Government, to provide sample pricing and available information for services to be provided. Particular information sought: 1. Required on-site lab facilities 2. Typical Biomedical Repair Technician certifications 3. Proposed equipment ordering procedures/invoicing and repair order format 4. Storage requirements for test equipment 5. Projected subcontracting requirements. This list is not inclusive; any information that is deemed pertinent may be included to assist the Government in this acquisition. Individual response to this request for information that may contain company proprietary information must be marked accordingly. Such information will not be released outside the Government. Based upon industry response, the Government may revise its acquisition strategy. This sources sought/mark et research should not be construed as a request for proposal. The Government does not intend to award a contract from the results of this sources sought. There is no solicitation document prepared or available at this time. The Government shall not be liable for, or suffer any consequential damages for any technical information identified (e.g., limited and/or restricted rights). Interested firms may send their information, company name, address, contact information, DUNS Code, and business size via email to Major Kenneth Burger at burgerka@logcom.usmc.mil no later than 13 February 2004. No telephonic submissions will be honored. The publication of this request or subsequent submission of product information shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government for vendors to procure repair parts or to take any other extraordinary actions regarding this request. It is also noted that the information provided by potential sources may be provided to third parties on a controlled basis for evaluation purposes. Therefore, submission of product information shall contain the vendor?s written permission for release of this information to third parties as determined to be appropriate by this Contracting Department.
