- Description
- The National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences intends to award a sole source purchase order to Waters Corporation, Milford MA, pursuant to 41 U.S.C.253(c)(1)?Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This procurement is for a one year comprehensive service coverage for TAP QTof Ultima Global and TAP Masslynx software. The plan provides unlimited comprehensive service coverage with parts and labor included. The maintenance agreement provides that the instrument is repaired at the customer site and includes two preventive maintenance calls per year. The period of coverage is 4/01/04 through 3/31/05. The Service Contract Act of 1965, Federal Acquisition Regulations Paragraph 52.222-41 (May 1989) is applicable. In accordance with FAR 52.222-42, Statement of Equivalent Rates for Federal Hires (May 1989), the equivalent is Electronics Engineer, GS-12, $27.05/hr. Offeror should quote FOB Destination. All responsible sources may respond by submitting a written narrative statement of capability within 15 days of date of notice to Elaine Shoaf at the above address for consideration by the agency. Faxed responses will be accepted at 919 541-5117. E-mail responses will be accepted at shoaf1@niehs.nih.gov. Responses must include detailed technical information and other technical literature demonstrating the ability to meet these requirements. Responses shall also include itemized pricing that is sufficient to make a determination that competition is feasible. If no affirmative responses are received within 15 days of this notice to determine whether a qualified source is more advantageous to the Government, an order will be placed with Waters Corporation. The NAICS code/size is 811219/$6.0M. This procurement is to be processed using Simplified Acquisition Procedures. There is no solicitation package available.
