Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The combined synopsis/solicitation number is W91ZLK-04-T-0252. The U.S. Army Contracting Agency, Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD 21005 requires the purchase of one (1) large-scale sprayer/applicator system to apply three-part liquid/foam chemical warfare age nt decontaminant (DECON GREEN). The applicator system will consist of a 7 x 161/2 foot trailer with 1000-gallon capacity poly tank system configured with the proper sizes for the three components of Decon Green, a trailer ??????mounted spray bar, 100 feet of 1.5 inch hose on a manual rewind hose reel, pulled by a commercial pickup truck with a bed-mounted deck gun monitor and operator safety cage. A trailer-mounted 54-HP diesel/JP8 fueled rotary screw air compressor will power the system. The applicator system will be capable of demonstrating various operational procedures to include, but not limited to: Initial unit equipment inspections, preventive maintenance, preparations for decontamination operations, preparing decontaminants, filling and refilling of applicator systems with decontaminants, dispensing decontaminants, and shutdown, cleaning and storing applicator system. Acceptance shall be at destination. Delivery shall be FOB Original to U.S. Army, Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD 21010. The provisio n at 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors, Commercial, applies to this acquisition. The provision at 52.212-2, Evaluation, Commercial Items applies to this acquisition; fill-ins in Paragraph (a) are Price and Past Performance and ??????less important than p rice??????. A completed copy of the provision at 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications, Commercial Items, must be provided with offers. The clause at 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions, Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. The clause at 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders, Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition.
