- NAICS Code: 562112 THE PURPOSE OF THIS MODIFICATION TO THE SOLICIATION IS TO ISSUE AN EXTENSION TO THE PROPOSAL DUE DATE, AND TO POST QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS. THE NEW PROPOSAL DUE DATE WILL BE 2/5/04. IN ADDITION, THE FOLLOWING IS A LIST OF QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS: QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS: Q1. What is the correct address to mail written responses? A1. Submissions should be sent electronically. If not possible, the U.S. Postal address is as follows: 1200 Pennsylvania Avenue, N.W. M/C 3803R, Washington, D.C. 20460 Q2. Assuming that the price should include transportation, would pick-up be in the Washington, D.C. area? A2. As referenced in the pre-solicitation notice, pickup will be at the EPA Denver Federal Building in Denver, Colorado. The Contractor shall then transport the material to a CERCLA approved disposal site. Q3. Will future pickup be at the same location or will pricing need to reflect transportation costs anywhere in the country? A3. See answer A2. Q4. What will be the normal frequency of pickup? Weekly, quarterly, etc? A4. The Government estimates approximately four pickups each year with the quantities as listed in the presolicitation notice. Q5. What quantity of items will normally be picked up on each trip? A5. See the pre-solicitation notice section entitled "Quote Submission Instructions" for quantities per shipment. Q6. What EPA regions does this RFQ cover? A6. See A2. Q7. Where can the packing and documenting of hazardous waste be performed? A7.The packing and documenting of the hazardous waste can be performed at the Denver Federal Center, Building 11. Q8. Will the waste be handed over to the Contractor in a controlled environment? A8. The waste will be transferred to the Contractor at Building 11 which is designed for this purpose. Q9. Can packing material and supplies be stored on site? A9. Packing materials and supplies may be stored on site in one of the five rooms in the building. Q10. Will the Contractor be required to provide destroyed records? A10. The Contractor will be required to provide Certificates of Destruction/Disposal.
