NAICS Code: 5612 2004 NATIONAL SUPERFUND PO/CO TRAINING CONFERENCE Synopsis THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS FOR WRITTEN INFORMATION ONLY. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION ANNOUNCEMENT FOR PROPOSALS AND NO CONTRACT WILL BE AWARDED FROM THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. In preparation for a future procurement, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is performing a "market research" to determine potential sources. The EPA Office of Acquisition Management (OAM) and Office of Superfund Remediation and Technology Innovation (OSRTI) has a requirement for a hotel that can provide the necessary services for a conference that will require guest rooms, meeting rooms, audiovisual equipment, light refreshments, business center services and related services of a quality hotel in the Chicago downtown area. The Conference will be held for approximately three (3) days during July 12 - 16, 2004. EPA would request a meeting one day before the conference to ensure all logistics are satisfactory. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR TECHNICAL OR COST PROPOSALS. This is a request for interested hotels to submit a brief capability statement that could meet the above requirements. Limit your submission to no more than 2 pages. Standard brochures will not be considered as a sufficient response to the Sources Sought Synopsis. The capability statements should include the following: 1. Name of Hotel,( contact person, email, phone number) 2.Location of hotel 3.Date availability for week of July 12, 2004 4.Sleeping Room (Government rates availability) 5.Meeting Room availability 6.Additional Features Businesses shall submit an electronic copy of the requested information to Kane.gloria@epa.gov and Smith/Lashawn@epa.gov and a hard copy via Mail to: U.S. EPA , attn: Ms. LaShawn Smith (3805R), 1200 Pennsylvania Ave. NW, Washington DC 20460 or Courier Deliver to: U.S. EPA, Attn: Ms. LaShawn Smith (3805R), 1300 Pennsylvania Ave. NW, Ronald Reagan Building, room 61107, Bid and Proposal Room, Washington DC 20004, NO LATER THAN 02/5/04, 3:00 EST. Telephone requests or fax for information will not be honored. All information regarding this procurement is posted on the Worldwide web site at the following address as it becomes available: http://www.epa.gov/oamsrpod/pmrcsc/kanehotel/index.htm. How To Acquire A Copy Of The STATEMENT OF WORK (SOW): EPA will post a copy of the SOW which provides details of the rooms and services required by the hotel , the instructions for submitting a quote , and how the quotes will be evaluated on or about 02/13/04. The applicable NAICS code is 5612. This will NOT be a small business set-aside, but for full and open competition, using simplified acquisition procedures.
