- The subject combined synopsis/solicitation is replaced with the following narrative: This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) sub-part 12.6., as supplemented with the additional information include in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; a proposal is requested and written solicitation will not be issued. PAPER COPIES OF THIS SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE. This combined synopsis/solicitation is issued as a Request For Quote (N00140-04-Q-0767). This solicitation documents and incorporates provisions and clauses are those in effect through FAC-2001-16 and DFARS Change Notice 20031010. It is the contractor?s responsibility to be familiar with the applicable clauses and provisions. The clauses may be accessed in full text at these addresses: www.arnet.gov/far and www.dtic.mil/fars. The FISC Norfolk Detachment Philadelphia intends to procure on a full and open competitive basis ACER Tablet PC?s for the U.S. Joint Forces Command located at the Joint Warfighting Center, 116 Lake View Parkway, Suffolk 23551. The Government has made a determination that only ACER Tablet PC?s can satisfy U.S. Joint Forces Command requirements because only ACER can provide a tablet PC with an integrated CA reader capability along with a separate PCMCIA slot for wireless connectivity or for utilization of the NSA Secnet 11 encryption. Contract Line Item (CLIN) 0001 is for a quantity seventy (70) ACER Tablet PC TMC104CT, part number 91.48R01.685I; CLIN 0002 is for a quantity of seventy (70) TMC 100 External Battery Chargers, part number LC.T1401.004; CLIN 0003 is for a quantity of sixty (60) PCCARD Docking Station for ACER TM C100 series, part number 91.48R44.055; CLIN 0004 is for a quantity of seventy (70) Laptop Battery Lithium ION-1800 MAH, part number 91.48R28.001; and CLIN 0005 is for a quantity of seventy (70) Power Adapter External, part number 91.48R25.003 Support will include Premier Support of the Accord Video Bridge for 1 year with next day parts, unlimited telephone support, software upgrades for Serial Number: 1488 The subject acquisition will be processed utilizing the procedures outlined in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 12, as supplemented by the procedures in FAR sub-part 13. The resulting purchase order will be Firm Fixed Price. The following FAR provision and clauses are applicable to this procurement: 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors ? Commercial items (OCT 2000); 52.212-2 Evaluation ? Commercial items (JAN 1999); 52.212-3 ALT I, Offeror Representations and Certifications ? Commercial Items (JUL 2002); 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions ? Commercial Items (FEB 2002); and 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders ? Commercial Items (MAY 2002), and as an addendum to 52.212-5 (b), also includes clauses 52.203-6, 52.219-8, 52.222-21, 52.22226, 52.222-35, 52.222-36, and 52.222-37. Offerors are reminded to include a complete copy of 52.212-3 ALT I as part of their offer. All clauses shall be incorporated by reference in the order. Additional contract terms and conditions applicable to this procurement are: 252.212-7000, Offeror Representations and Certifications ? Commercial Items (NOV 1995) and 252.212-7001, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive orders Applicable to Defense Acquisitions of Commercial Items (JUL 2002), including 252.225-7007, 252.225-7012, and 252.243-7002. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement or to submit quotes. This notice is not a request for competitive quotes. A determination by the Government not to open this requirement to competition based upon responses to this requirement is solely within the discretion of the Government.
