Description

To guarantee addition to the bidders list, web page registration should be followed up with either a fax or an email. All requests for a CD must contain the following information: company name, address, b usiness size, point of contact with email address, phone number, and fax number. This solicitation will be issued on or about March 2, 2004. DESCRIPTION: SOLICITATION DOCUMENTS, INCLUDING DRAWINGS, WILL BE AVAILABLE ON CD ONLY. The Walla Walla Distri ct, Corps of Engineers, intends to award a firm-fixed price construction contract. The work will consist of the rehabilitation of a 500 ton bridge crane located at the Ice Harbor Dam powerhouse and will include the following: cleaning and inspection of a ll mechanical equipment; replacement of various mechanical components; refurbishment of the operators cab; replacement of the electrical power and control systems; asbestos abatement; lead-based paint removal; painting; and testing and recertification to f ull design capacity. Completion time for this work will be 270 days after Notice to Proceed. ADMIN INFO: The estimated cost range for this job is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) code is 1629 and the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 237990. This procurement is open to both large and small business concerns. If you are a large business and your bid will exceed $1 million, you will be required to submit a subcontracting plan with goals for small, HUBZone, small disadvantaged, small woman-owned, and small veteran-owned concerns. For the purposes of this procurement, a concern is considered a small business if its annual average gross revenue, taken for the last 3 fiscal years, doe s not exceed $28,500,000.
