Description
The Air Force intends to hold an Industry Day on 2-3 March 2004 for informational purposes on Defensive Counterspace (DCS) and Rapid Attack Identification, Detection, and Reporting System (RAIDRS). The goal of this session is to identify companies who are interested in participating in RAIDRS development, inform them on the current status of technologies and programs, and provide opportunities for industry interaction in the Defensive Counterspace mission area. DCS Day on 2 March 2004 (8:30-5:00) will provide insights into government efforts in this mission area. Agenda items for the DCS day will include: DCS Overview, Concept of Operations (CONOPS) and AFRL technology efforts. Registration will begin at 7:30. Detecting attacks on U.S. satellites and military service providers will be an important factor in maintaining U.S. military superiority in future conflicts. RAIDRS will consist of sensing elements and an information dissemination element to provide decision makers and satellite operators with near real time awareness of the nature and source of an attack. To facilitate FY04/FY05 acquisition activities, the RAIDRS Industry Day is planned for 3 March 2004 (8:30-2:00). Agenda items include: current program status, contractor facility requirements, and current technical requirements/architecture. Both segments of the industry day will be held at The Aerospace Corporation Building A-8, Lower Level Conf Rm 2320 East El Segundo Blvd El Segundo, CA 90245-4691. The last day to respond is 23 February 2004. For an official invitation and agenda, contact Ms Berta Chavez at (310) 416-1583 or email: Alberta.chavez@losangeles.af.mil. This meeting will be conducted at the Secret level; therefore please fax DoD clearances to SMC/SY Security, Attn: Ms Berta Chavez at (310) 416-1746. Interested companies are limited to three (3) attendees total for all divisions and locations. Organizations wanting to bring more personnel can request this through the primary POC and will be handled on a case-by-case basis. There will be a fee of $10.00/one day or $15.00/two days per attendee to cover refreshments.
