Description

Request Contract to repair 1600 KW Catapiller Model 3516 generator Serial # 25Z05103, AR# 107-7350, per spec #2T6268 by complete in frame overhaul, project 040914. The contractor shall provide all parts and labor for disassembly, inspection, and repair for an in-frame overhaul. All work shall be accomplished Monday through Friday 7:30-4:30 (8 hour workday) unless a mutual agreement is worked out between both parties at no cost to the government. Overhaul includes but is not limited to the following; a. 16 new pistons and liners with bearings and rings b. Main crankshaft bearings shall be replaced with new bearings c. Heads shall be checked and replaced as needed with remanufactured heads. d. All injectors shall be checked and replaced as needed with remanufactured injectors e. The water pump and oil pump will be replaced with remanufactured parts f. All gaskets and seals for overhaul shall be provided as necessary. g. Generator will need an estimated 350 gallons of extended life Caterpillar coolant to be furnished by the contractor and added to generator system after repairs are completed. h. Generator shall be test run for 4 hours after repair before acceptance. Work is to be completed within 30 calendar days after the start-work date specified in the notice to proceed. Statement of work will be provided upon request.
