Description
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, Vehicle Research and Test Center (VRTC) intends to negotiate with Systron Donner Inertial Division for the purchase of two (2) BEI MotionPak six-axis inertial sensing systems. This requirement will be conducted under Simplified Acquisition procedures in accordance with FAR Part 13. BEI MotionPak six-axis inertial sensing systems provide accurate unfiltered roll rate output signals that are needed for use with the programmable steering controller used in rollover research testing. The system has a stable unfiltered roll rate signal that does not drift. The linear accelerometers and angular rates are +/- 2 g and +/- 100 deg/sec respectively. A low rate of non-linearity is required along with a resolution of at least 0.004 ??/sec. for rate channels and ?? 10??g for accelerometer channels. This is not a Request for Proposal (RFP) nor is a RFP available. Interested parties believing they are capable of providing this requirement must respond to this notice in writing within fifteen (15) days after its posting on FedBizOpps. Interested parties must provide a written capabilities statement to Robin.Esser@NHTSA.DOT.GOV which clearly demonstrates that it can provide the required six axis inertial sensing systems. Oral expressions of interest will not be considered. A determination not to compete this proposed procurement is solely within the discretion of the government. In the absence of responses within the specified time herein, negotiations on a sole source basis will commence with Systron Donner Inertial Division.
