Description

In accordance with the procedures specified in the revised OMB Circular A-76 (Attachment B, B.1), dated May 29, 2003, this notification represents the initial public announcement and official start date of a standard competition on commercial functions of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention that are characterized as Clerical/Office Automation. The services included are performed at the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), at its Clifton Road campus, in Atlanta, Georgia and its other domestic locations (including Puerto Rico). All organizational components of the agency are covered in this study. Within the CDC there are currently 224 FTEs performing the functions. The Competitive Sourcing Official is Dr. Edward Sontag, the Contracting Officer is Calvin Tubbs, and the Agency Tender Official (ATO) is Larry Rhodes. Due to the scope of services covered under this study, a complete list of incumbent service providers is not yet available and is actively being gathered. The agency anticipates publishing that data, as well as a comprehensive synopsis of the procurement approach, as an amendment within two weeks of this posting. If possible, interested parties are asked to delay inquiries regarding those aspects of the study until that posting has been made. The proposed procurement will be set-aside for small business in accordance with FAR Part 19. A firm-fixed price type contract for the base year and four (4) option years will be solicited. The anticipated completion date for this study is September 30, 2004.
