Description

The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport intends to award a Firm Fixed Price Contract on a Sole Source basis to Bitmicro Networks, 45550 Northport Loop East, Fremont, CA 94539-6481 for 16 each E-Disk 2A66(2), 10240MB, Commercial Temp, No PowerGuard, NAND and 2 each E-Disk 2A66(2), 1024MB, Commercial Temp, No PowerGuard NAND. The Government plans to issue a request for written quote to Bitmicro Networks using FAR Part 12 and FAR Part 13. The anticipated award date is 12 March 2004. This action is being processed on a Sole Source basis due to the fact that the Bitmicro E-Disk Solid State Hard Drive is the component being used currently in the BES Recorder and meet our objective 100%. No other known company can provide an exact replacement card that will be compatible and interchangeable with the Recorder. These drives ensure that the new recorders will match current recorder design and guarantee interchangeability. NAICS: 334419.
