- Description
- The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division intends to enter into negotiations with the sole source of supply, Honeywell Integrated Avionics Systems to conduct a Transfer Alignment System (TAS) accuracy study to determine achievable relative and absolute accuracy of the Initial Test Reference System (ITRS). The ITRS will provide Consolidated Automated Support System (CASS) with shipboard capability to test precision inertial subsystems Weapon Replaceable Assemblies (WRAs) and Shop Replaceable Assemblies (SRAs). Honeywell Integrated Avionics Systems is the sole designer, developer and integrator of the TAS and the only known firm with the expertise, technical data and working prototype of the Navy version of the TAS. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, all proposals must be received within 15 days. A determination by the Government not to open this requirement to competition based on responses received to this synopsis is solely within the discretion of the Government.
