Description

The United States Army Medical Research and Materiel Command (USAMRMC) is a major subordinate Command of the United States Army Medical Command. The Commanding General (CG), USAMRMC, directs the management of a number of medical research, developmen t and acquisition programs. The USAMRMC began managing the Breast Cancer Research Program (BCRP) in fiscal year 1992 (FY 1992). With a congressional appropriation of $210M in FY 1993, the CG established a team of individuals to administer the targeted ap propriations. Congressional appropriations of almost $3B have been made in FY 1992-2004 for research to include breast, prostate and ovarian cancer, defense health, neurofibromatosis, prion disease, chronic myelogenous leukemia, tuberous sclerosis and other programs. T ogether, these programs now comprise the office of the CDMRP. The CDMRP is the USAMRMC subordinate organization responsible for planning, coordinating, integrating, programming, budgeting and executing these programs. For a better understanding of the CDM RP, a web site is available to provide a wealth of information about each of the programs: http://cdmrp.army.mil. The Government intends to award a cost-reimbursable/fixed-price task order contract to provide scientific peer review for all Congressionally directed research programs identified herein and any subsequent programs as directed by Congress. Separate task orders shall be awarded under this contract for each research program peer review by FY. The Contractor shall provide all necessary qualified personnel to provide scientific peer review for each of the selected scientifc programs. The anticipated release date is within the next 30 days from this notive. All interested parties can can download the solicitation when available on the USAMRAA webs ite: http://usamraa.army.mil.
