Description

The Government has a requirement to procure Integrated Laser/White Light Pointers (ILWLP). The ILWP is a commercial off-the-shelf/non-developmental item that addresses the need of combat and combat suport forces for a single, integrated device to ac quire and engage targets with the pistol on the battlefield and in close quarters combat engagements during limited visibility conditions or in total darkness. The ILWLP will be mounted on the soldier's M9/M11 pistol and will give him the capability to em ploy white light illumination, stand-alone aiming lasers/pointers (visible and infrared),and infrared (IR) illumination in a small, lightweight, integrated device. This will be solicited as a 100% Total Small Busines Set-Aside (SEE NOTE 1) for an award of a Firm Fixed Price Indefinite/Delivery/Indefinite Quantity Requirements contract for the production of up to 48,300 ILWP's for a contract term of sixty months. Award will be made to the best value proposal which is determined to be the most beneficial to the Government based on the criteria discussed in the solicitation. The official release of the Request for Proposal (RFP) will be posted on the internet at the Army Single Face to Industry (ASFI) web sit located at the following address: https//:acquis ition.army.mil. The on-line version of the RFP includes all documents of the solicitation package. No hard copy of this RFP will be issued. Amendments, if any, will be posted at the same location as the solicitation. The complete solicitation package, including amendments should be received and reviewed prior to submitting a response. The proposal will be submitted in hard copy form. No electronic submission of those proposals will be accepted. It is the responsiblity of those responding to the solic itation to obtain all amendments and/or other applicable documents. It is anticipated that this solicitation will be issued approximately 1 March 2004.
