Description
PARADE UNIFORMS, consisting of Parade Jackets and Trousers/Slacks. Garments shall be manufactured utilizing both Government Furnished Material (GFM) for the Parade Jackets, and Contractor Furnished Material (CFM) for mens trousers and womens slacks. The proposed contract will be a firm fixed price requirements contract with a basic period with four one-year option periods. Estimated yearly quantities (to include Fill-In requirements) are: Coat, mens 1150 each, women 250 each; Trouser, mens 1887 pair; Slacks, womens 450 pair. Exact quantities and sizes will be identified on individual delivery orders no later than 30 July of each year. First Articles for each garment will be required within 30 days after contract award. GFM and one master pattern for each garment will be provided for the First Articles subsequent to contract award. The master patterns will be sewed for grading and development of necessary working patterns. Inspections during the manufacturing and packaging process shall be performed at the contractors place of manufacture at the governments discretion. Final acceptance will be at the USAF Academy. Request for Proposal (RFP) FA7000-04-R-0006 (to include all specifications) will be available on or about 27 February 2004. NOTE: This is NOT a Request for Proposal (RFP). The RFP, solicitation number FA7000-04-R-0006, will be issued on or about 27 February 2004 with a closing date of on or about 26 March 2004. The primary Standard Industrial Classification for this procurement is 2253, the NAICS code for pants/trousers is 315191, and NAICS for jackets, men and women is 315211. Small Business Size standard is 500 employees. A clause contained in the forthcoming request for proposal is 252.225-7012, Preference for Certain Domestic Commodities, also referred to as the "Berry Amendment". The Berry Amendment applies only to DoD and has been included in DoD Appropriations Act since 1841. The Act restricts DoDs expenditure of funds for supplies consisting in whole or in part of certain articles and items not grown or produced in the United States or its possessions.
