Description
SCOPE OF REQUIREMENT. This replaces the notice of 21 November 2003 numbered CC-04-HQ-Q-0008. The Office of the Comptroller of the currency (OCC) requires, on an as needed basis, the facilities of qualified hotels (NAICS 721110) in Washington DC for the base period of 1 April 2004 through September 30, 2004 and for two option years. The OCC intends to award two contracts for hotel guest rooms, parking and meeting rooms and associated services for the OCC employees that visit the Washington DC HQS Office frequently on business and for training sessions. It is anticipated that the minimum guarantee over the two contracts will be 500 rooms annually (prorated in the base period of 6 months) and a maximum of 2,000 rooms annually (prorated). MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS: The hotels must be (1) compliant with the Hotel and Motel Fire Safety Act of 1990, 15 U.S.C. 2201 et seq, (Public Law 101-391) and hold a FEMA certification number; (2) be compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act, 42 U.S.C. Setion 12101 et seq. (ADA); 3) have one of the following rates; First class or higher per the Official Hotel Guide; three diamons or higher per AAA; three crowns or higher per the OAG Business Travel Planner; 4) be connected to an automated reservation service; and 5) be located in Washington DC and within four blocks of a subway station. HOW TO ACQUIRE A COPY OF THE SOLICITATION: OCC anticipates issuing the solicitation o/a 27 January. The solicitation will contain the details of the rooms and services required, the ionstructions for submitting a quote, and how the quotes will be evaluated. This requirement will be procured using simplified acquisition procedures under the Test Program for Certain Commercial Items in Subpart 13.5. All responsible hotels may submit a quote. OCC anticipates awarding the contracts on/about 27 March 2004.
