Description

The U.S Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS) intends to issue an Invitation for Bids (IFB) for bulkhead wall, splash pad and rice trunk replacement of an existing rice trunk with 12 piles, one splash pad assembly and one rice trunk; and bulkhead wall and rice trunk replacement of an existing rice trunk, and splash pad installation with 10 piles, one rice trunk and one splash pad assembly at Ace Basin National Wildlife Refuge, Hollywood, SC in accordance with the drawings and specifications. Additional miscellaneous work includes mobilization and demobilization, grubbing and clearing of the site; on-site disposal of all woody debris; construction and demolition of the temporary coffer dams; dewatering of the work site; and vegetating of all disturbed areas. This is not a small business set-aside in accordance with the latest quarterly adjustment under the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. The NAICS code is 237990. The size standard is $28.5 million. The estimated price range is between $100,000 and $250,000. The tentative IFB issue date is on or about 01/26/04, with a closing date of 02/24/04. A firm-fixed price contract will be issued, with a performance period of 90 days from the Notice to Proceed. The anticipated award date is 03/01/04. The IFB documents will be available electronically on the Federal Business Opportunities Web Site at HTTP://FEDBIZOPPS.GOV under IFB number 401814B003. Paper copies WILL NOT be available. Once the solicitation is posted, it is incumbent upon the interested parties to review this site for any updates/amendments. Note: Registration with the Fish and Wildlife Service for Electronic Commerce (EC) at the National Business Center (NBC) Web site will also be required. Prospective offeror's must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) HTTP://WWW.CCR.GOV in order to be eligible for award.
