Description

Notice of availability of a prospectus for solicitation of offers to provide for the continuing retail sales of authentic 18th Century antiques from the Swan Tavern, Main Street, Yorktown, Virginia, within Colonial National Historical Park. The prospectus will be available on January 5, 2004. The concessioner provides all personnel, equipment, merchandise and supplies used in the operation. The term of the contract will be ten years. The minimum franchise fee to be paid to the National Park Service is 4.1% of gross receipts. The Director, NPS, has determined that this is a qualified new concession contract as annual gross receipts are estimated to be less than $500,000 in the first 12 months of its term. Therefore, pursant to 36 CFR Part 51.36, a preferred offeror for this contract exists. The prospectus will explain the business opportunity, the terms and conditions under which the NPS will award the concession contract, the proposal instructions and proposal package (including selection factors). The solicitation, selection and award of the proposal package will be conducted pursuant to 36CFR Part 51. The cost of purchasing a copy of the prospectus is $50.00. To obtain a copy send a check payable to the National Park Service, Colonial National Historical Park, P.O. Box 210, Yorktown, Virginia 23690 ATTN: Laura Etheridge. A tax identification number (TIN) or Social Security Number must be on the check. No telephone requests for the prospectus will be honored.
