- Description
- The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Boise, Idaho intends to solicit and negotiate a sole source contract with Gerber Coburn to provide equipment to be used in the expansion of our Ophthalmic Full Service Laboratory. The following equipment and services will be required: Step Two Finish Blocking System, stock # 182329; Titan Edger LE Cr/Poly 230V, stock # 4N97745; Bar Code Reader, stock # 196501; Bar Code Reader, stock # 155602;. Cost will include installation, delivery and training. This equipment must be compatible with existing Gerber Coburn equipment. The Government believes that Gerber Coburn is the only company that can provide this equipment that will satisfy the agency?s requirements. This is a sole source procurement under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures, and Other Than Full and Open Competition (FAR 6.302-1). This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes; however, any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification to the Contracting Officer within seven days from the date of publication of this synopsis. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail, to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirements. Responsible sources that are interested in this procurement are required to submit a response clear and convincing information that identifies their capabilities. In addition, the offeror must substantiate their offer with technical data, brochures, price list or catalogs, terms and conditions, delivery scheduled, discounts, etc. If this commodity is available under GSA contract, please provide the GSA schedule. All responses must be received in writing to: Jane Holt (90B), A&MM Service, 500 West Fort Street, Boise, ID 83702. Faxed or email proposal are not accepted. No telephone requests will be accepted. Requests for a solicitation will be considered nonresponsive. All responses from responsible sources submitting the requirement information will be fully considered. As a result of analyzing responses to this synopsis of intent, completed with resulting award under the simplified acquisition procedures. Responsible firms responding to this synopsis will be considered if the action is competed. This is a one-time procurement. The Government does not anticipate any future procurement for same or similar items.
