- The Department of Veterans Affairs, National Acquisition Center is currently seeking sources that provide teleradiology services to include professional interpretation, consultation, and direction involving medical imaging procedures twenty-four (24) hours per day, seven days per week. These services are commonly known as Nighthawk Radiology services. Services shall include, but not limited to the interpretation of radiological exams such as Computed Tomography Scans (CT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), General Radiographic Procedures or Plain Film, Ultrasound Studies (US), Nuclear Medicine (NM), and specialized angiography studies to include standard and computerized assisted angiography, interventional procedures, etc. Responding sources should address their ability to provide these services on a national or regional basis and they shall address their specific geographic coverage area. It is the intention of the Government to make multiple awards for these services that will provide multiple vendor selection for various authorized Government agencies nationwide such as the Department of Veterans Affairs and the Department of Defense. Firm-fixed price contracts with economic price adjustments are contemplated. The anticipated contract period will be a minimum of 5 years. If your company is interested, respond by February 1, 2004 to this notice by providing the following at a minimum: 1. Information regarding the types of services provided commercially. 2. Information regarding the mechanics of how these services are provided. 3. Information regarding the terms and conditions that govern any commercial agreements. A copy of a commercial agreement will satisfy this requirement. 4. Information regarding normal geographic coverage area. 5. Information regarding how services are priced commercially including any differentials for holidays. 6. Information regarding any certifications and/or accreditations from various organizations that signify that certain national standards for quality service is met. 7. Any additional information that may be useful in determining how the teleradiology industry operates commercially. 8. Please address any current or anticipated concerns regarding the proposed contracting method i.e. multiple-award, firm-fixed price with economic price adjustment. Information obtained as a result of this synopsis is for information planning purposes only. This does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) nor is it to be construed as a commitment by the Government. Responses will be accepted via regular mail, fax, or electronic mail.
