- Description
- VA is issuing a Request For Information seeking responses of interest and commentary on the Statement of Work (SOW) for the VA ADVANTAGE program attached to this announcement. The SOW describes VA's attempt to provide a Medicare benefit to category 8 veterans (see attached SOW for details and definitions of categories) through a Medicare Plus organization utilizing VA Medical Centers. A pilot program would be developed within a specified geographic area. Based on the results of that pilot program, and assuming the program is initiated, a nation wide deployment is anticipated. See attached SOW for details explaining the program's concept, background on VA and a questionnaire inquiring into to the capabilities of interested Medicare Plus organizations. PLEASE NOTE: RELEASE OF THIS RFI AND RECEIPT OF RESPONSES TO IT, DOES NOT COMMIT OR GUARANTEE VA WILL RELEASE A FOLLOW-ON SOLICITATION FOR THESE SERVICES. However, to help make that determination, VA requests and strongly encourages participation and as detailed a response as possible to the to the SOW provided.
