Description

Requirements type contract for meals, lodging and transportation for applicants processing through the Indianapolis Military Entrance Processing Station (MEPS) during the base period of 1 Feb 2004 through 31 Jan 2005 with four option periods. Service s are for a supper meal, overnight lodging, breakfast the next morning and transportation to the MEPS. It is estimated that there will be 15,275 applicants processing yearly. The number of applicants daily will possibly reach 74 maximum, but average 40 app licants daily. This contract will be awarded on a Best Value basis using the tradeoff source selection process. The appropriate NAICS code is 721110 with a size standard of $6M. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which will be considered. The s olicitation will be posted on the Fort Knox hompage website at: http://www.knox.army.mil/garrison/doc/contracting_opportunities.htm on or about 22 Dec 2003. No paper copies of the solicitation will be issued. All amendments to the solicitation will be lik ewise posted to this website. Contractors are cautioned to check this website for amendments. No solicitation mailing list will be compiled. Contractor is responsible for all costs of producing and mailing their proposal. Proposal must be written and submi tted in original plus four copies and mailed to Directorate of Contracting, Bldg 1109B, Rm 250, Fort Knox, KY 40121-5000. Please mark outside of package with solicitation number and opening date as stated in the solicitation in Block 8. Proposal will not b e accepted by email or facsimile.
