Description

The IMDAS solution will utilize an infrastructure for centralized, shared services that will: ? Provide a standardized integrated infrastructure for mobile data acquisition technology ? Provide standardized infrastructure for collection and transfer of data to host systems ? Provide a framework for USPS functional organizations to build their mobile data acquisition applications from ? Provide the flexibility for future extensions; ? Provide an architecturally consistent and compatible family of components; ? Maximize the ability to share components across users; ? Minimize disruptions to the current delivery environment and processes; ? Support interoperable, modular software applications that can be reused by many applications; ? Isolate secure data and functions into secure components that are accessed only by authorized applications and systems; ? Ensure clean scan data including the elimination of redundant data, and validating the data integrity of all data elements that are sent to the legacy systems; ? Incorporate system management tools for work load management, centralized maintenance, end-to-end performance, and network monitoring.
