- Description
- Provide all labor, material, equipment and transportation necessary to provide new heating systems for the main hangar, building 1106 and rehabilitate existing evaporative coolers serving building 1107 at U. S. Coast Guard Air Station Sacramento, Sacramento, CA. The work includes but is not limited to the following: (A) Provide high mounting, ceiling suspended, gas unit heaters in the main hangar at building 1106. Gas heaters include furnace, blower assembly, housing, revolving discharge outlet, and controls. Provide support frames, flue vents, electric power and gas supply to the new equipment and make them operational. Since the combined input capacity of two unit heaters is more than 3,000,000 BTUH, Contractor shall obtain an air permit from Sacramento Metropolitan Air Quality Management District (AQMD). (B) Close the top openings of the existing ridge vent with galvanize sheet metal, leaving twenty-feet ridge vent opened at the middle of the hangar as indicated. (C) Provide new natural gas line from the gas meter to new unit heaters. Provide pressure regulating valve and shut off gas valve as indicated. (D) Ability to obtain from PG$E existing 5000CFH capacity gas meter (#47849604) replaced with new 8000CFH capacity meter. (E) Provide flashing and counter flashing at roof penetrations for gas pipe and flue vents. (F) Remove and dispose of the ceiling suspended, abandoned make up boiler water tank. (G) Replace three rooftop evaporative coolers (Model: Abode Air) excluding fan motors, serving building 1107. Replacement includes: housing/cabinet, blower unit, motor mount, sump pump, makeup water unit, piping, evaporative media, and controls for each evaporative cooler. Salvage existing blower motors. Reconnect existing power, water supply and make the units operational. Connect overflow piping to the roof drain. (H) Before installing the new evaporative coolers, clean and paint the existing steel angle frames (inside dimensions: 62” x 62”) supporting the evaporative coolers with rust resistant paint. (I) Furnish the services of a competent instructor to give full instruction to designated Government personnel in the adjustment, operation, and maintenance; including pertinent safety requirements, of the new heating and cooling equipment. Instruction shall be provided for a minimum of 3 hours. The period of performance is 120 calendar days after Notice to Proceed. This procurement is estimated between $100,000.00 and $250,000.00 and is a small business set-aside. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this procurement is 238220. For security reasons all Coast Guard drawings are only available through the Federal Technical Data Solution (FedTeDS), which will have a separate link on the FedBizOpps web page, identified as Technical Data Package. Offerors will need to register with FedTeDS and receive a user name and password to be able to download Coast Guard drawings. All responsible sources are encouraged to respond.
