Description

The work consists of the construction of a single story, 5,500 square foot visitor center building, 134 square foot utility building, associated site work, and partial construction of site utilities and landscaping elements. There are 4 bid options to construct landscaping and a restroom building. The project is located in Lone Pine, California, at the junction of US Highway 395 and State Highway 136. Lone Pine is located on the east side of the Sierra Nevada mountain range, approximately 240 miles north of Los Angeles, California, and approximately 270 miles south of Reno, Nevada. The government's estimate is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. Estimated start work date is February 23, 2003, contract time 302 days. NOTE: There will be a PreBid meeting on the site JANUARY 14, 2004, 10:00 a.m. Interested contractors should meet at the Mt. Whitney Ranger Station conference room, 640 S.
