Description

NA This notice is released to announce a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers District, New Orleans requirement for Boundary Marking Services contract. The work that is to be performed under this contract will be located at Bayou Des Ourses, Shatters Bayou and the I ndian Bayou Areas of the Atchafalaya Basin Floodway System Project. It will also include all labor, equipment, and materials necessary in locating, painting, driving “Carsonite” posts and brush clearing along U.S. Government property lines withi n the Bayou Des Ourses, Shatters Bayou and Indian Bayou Areas. The Invitation for Bid (IFB) will result in a Requirements Contract, with a base and four-year option, to be competed under Solicitation Number W912P8-04-B-0018 . The basic contract is expect ed to commence on Date of Award through 30 September 2004. This action is set-aside 100% for small business concerns under North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 561730, size standard $5.0. You must be considered a small business conc ern to bid on this project. The IFB and all information pertaining to this acquisition will be made available electronically through the Federal Business Opportunities electronic posting system web link at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. It is and will be all the potential offerors responsibility to monitor the fedbiz website for any amendments, updates, bidders library, responses to questions and answers as the government will not be maintaining a mailing list. It is incumbent upon all potential offerors to download from the fedbiz website or request an electronic copy of the data by e-mailing Contract Specialist at Kim.M.Theophile@mvn02.usace.army.mil or faxing request to (504) 862-2892. Any communications must identify the IFB number, W912P8-04-B-0018, com pany name, address, phone number (including area code), facimile number and point of contact. No phone call requests will be accepted. The anticipated solicitation release date is on or about December 22, 2003, with an anticipated bid opening date Janu ary 22, 2004. NOTE: Bidders must be registered with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR), and is required by Federal Regulations (See FAR 52.204-7004), therefore, you must be CCR registered to be awarded this project and payment from any DOD activit y. Information on registration may be obtained by calling 1-888-227-2423 or via the Internet at http://www.ccr.gov. CCR requires applicants to have a DUNS number from Dun & Bradstreet. Numbered note 1 applies.
