REPAIR OF THE SCAS CONTROLLER APPLICABLE TO THE B-1B SOL F8103-04-R-0047 DUE 23 January 2004 OC-ALC/LGKIB TINKER AFB OK 73145-3015, for additional information contact Joe G. Clay/LGKIB (405) 739-4212. Item 0001 NSN 6615-01-276-8318, P/N 4030468-907 ? SCAS Controller. The contractor shall provide all labor, facilities, equipment and all material to accomplish the repair and/or replacement, test, packing and packaging and return to the Government in accordance with the work specifications contained in the contract, the line items of Air Force equipment listed below. A firm fixed price requirements type contract is contemplated for One Year, plus Four (4) One-year options CLIN 0001: Repair of SCAS Controllers, includes Repair/Replacement of 2 each SRUs. SRUs in excess of 2 each per LRU will repaired/replaced under CLIN 0002. The estimated quantities are as follows: CLIN 0001 Basic Year ? 80 ea; Option I ? 80 ea; Option II ? 80 ea; Option III ? 80 ea; Option IV ? 80 ea. CLIN 0002: Repair/Replacement of SRUs only beyond the requirement of CLIN 0001. SRU quantities not repaired under this CLIN will be deducted and the quantity will be adjusted down to the actual quantity repaired and the corresponding dollars will be de-obligated. The estimated quantities are as follows: Basic Year ? 400 ea; Option I ? 400 ea; Option II ? 400 ea; Option III ? 400 ea; and Option IV ? 400 ea. CLIN 0003: Over & Above as required. CLIN 0004: Data as required. This solicitation is to obtain a requirements type repair contract with 100% contractor furnished material. The approximate issue/response date will be 23 April 2004. The Air Force required Delivery is 7 ea per month 30 days ARO and 4 ea per month thereafter. Award will be made only if the offeror, the product/service or the manufacturer meets Source Approval requirement at time of award, in accordance with FAR clause 52.209-1 or 52.209-2. The solicitation identifies the office where additional information can be obtained concerning qualification requirements and is cited in each individual solicitation. Based upon market research, the Government is not using the policies contained in Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, in its solicitation for the described supplies or services. Written procedure will be used for this solicitation. No telephone requests. Only written or faxed requests received directly from the requestors are acceptable. All responsible sources solicited may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered. Award will be made only if the offeror, the product/service, or the manufacturer meets qualification requirements at the time of award in accordance with FAR clause 52.209-1. The solicitation identifies the office where additional information can be obtained concerning qualification requirements as cited in each individual solicitation. It is suggested that small business firms or others interested in subcontracting opportunities in connection with the described procurement make contact with the firm(s) listed. Local Note C - Ombudsman Note: An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
