Description

The Social Security Administration (SSA) intends to negotiate and award a sole source purchase order to Carrier Corporation, 10810 Bigge Street, San Leandro, CA 94577, for the Annual Preventive Maintenance Service on the Air Conditioning Equipment at 1221 Nevin Avenue, Richmond, Ca 94802. The Air Conditioning System consists of four (4) Carrier Centrifugal Water Chillers, model numbers 19XL5757457CQ and 19XL5858462CN. Carrier Corporation is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and is the sole source of continually updated digital diagnostic downloads specific to the engineering and performance of SSA’s low temperature glycol charged chillers. System revisions and corrections can only be made by Carrier because their software is proprietary. All potential contractors will be required to pass a security background check before beginning performance on an award. Prospective contractors shall be registered in the Central Contractor Registration database prior to award of a contract. This notice is for informational purposes only. This is not a competitive request for quotation and the Government does not intend to pay for information solicited or received. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Respondents will not be notified of the results of the evaluation of information received. The Government will consider all information from responsible sources within 10 days after the publication of this synopsis. See numbered note 22.
