Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial itmes prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6 as supplemented with the additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through the current Federal Acquisition Circular 97-10. The Marine Corps Northeast Regional Contracting Office currently has the following requirement: Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to provide and install space-saver electronic mobile shelving comprised of one stable anchor unit and five moveable retracting space-saving shelves capable of holding approvimately 800(+) pounds of printed material per unit. The floor space available fo r the installation measures approximately 12' x 12' with a standard ceiling. Each mobile shelf is to be of a design and style as to be comprised of a double shelf (front and back) on mobile tracks arranged to move/open to allow access between the shelves from a collapsed/closed accordion configuration. SITE VISIT: will be held Tuesday, December 16, 2003 at 10:00 am. Please contact Mrs. Maria Dickey at dickeym@nt.quantico.usmc.mil or 703-784-1923 to confirm your attendance. Offerors or quoters are urged and expected to inspect the site where services are to be performed and to satisfy themselves regarding all general and local conditions that may affect the cost of contract performance, to the extent that the information is reasonably obtainable. In no event shall failure to inspect the site constitute grounds for a claim after contract award. If you have questions c oncerning this requirement, please forward them in a written form via fax 703-784-5908 or e-mail no later than 3:30pm December 17, 2003. CONTRACT WILL BE AWARDED TO THE CONTRACTOR WHO OFFERS THE BEST VALUE TO, AND BEST SUSITS THE NEEDS OF THE UNITED STATES MARINE CORPS.
