Description
NA NOTE: Any prospective Offeror interested in obtaining plans and specifications for this solicitation must register on our website at http://ebs.sas.usace.army.mil/. Contractors may view and/or download this solicitation and all amendments from the Interne t after solicitation issuance. Paper copies of this solicitation will not be available. Description of work: Construction of two 72-person dormitories. The dormitories will be three-story buildings with 6, four-room modules per floor. The primary faci lity consists of private bedroom areas with full baths; shared kitchen, laundry facilities and living area within the module; communications room and mechanical room; electrical room and managers?????? office. Supporting facilities include electrical, ext erior lighting, water and sewer, parking, gazebos, walks, curb and gutter, basketball court, communications, fire protection and alarm, systems, dumpster pads, landscaping, and paving. This project is located on Seymour Johnson Air force Base, North Carol ina. The project will be solicited and procured using a Performance Price Trade-Off (PPT) Request for Proposals (RFP) in accordance with FAR Part 15.101-1. Offerors are required to submit a price and technical proposal. Each proposal shall contain the o fferor??????s best technical proposal and best price. The technical proposal will be evaluated utilizing the factors set forth. Factor 1: Construction - Past Performance; Factor 2: Corporate Relevant Specialized Experience; Factor 3: Management Effectiv eness; and Factor 4: Construction Duration. The Government reserves the right to reject any and all offers. Offerors are reminded that while the Government may elect to consider data obtained from other sources, the burden of proof of acceptability rests with the offeror. Options will be included. Estimated cost range of project is $5,000,000 to $10,000,000. Network Analysis System will be required. This solicitation is issued on an unrestricted basis pursuant to the Business Opportunity Development R eform Act of 1988 (Public Law 100-656). This solicitation will be issued in electronic format only and will be available on or about 29 December 2003 on the Internet at http://ebs.sas.usace.army.mil. Notification of amendments will be through use of the I nternet. No additional media (CD-ROM, floppy disks, faxes, etc.) will be provided. It is the Offeror??????s responsibility to check the Internet address provided as necessary for any posted changes to this solicitation and all amendments.
