Description

NA The Directorate of Contracting Fort Drum, NY is issuing a Request for Proposal (RFP) to industry for the operation of the Mobile Vehicle and Cargo Inspection System (MVACIS) during a base period and four, one year optional performance periods. The service entails inspection of vehicles and cargo using the mobile vacis system, which is manufactured by Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC). Service will be performed 365 days per year. The proposed contract will be a firm fixed price type co ntract. The NAICS is 561612 with a small business size standard of $10.5 million. THIS ACQUISITION IS A COMPETITIVE 8(A). The geographical restriction of the competition is limited to 8(a) certified firms located within the Small Business Administration Syracuse District, Syracuse, New York and the incumbent contractor. The anticipated issue/posting date will be on or about 5 December 2003. All qualified sources wishing to offer are required to monitor the Fort Drum Contracting web page for any/all amendments to the request for proposal.
