REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS WP044 Computer-Based Interactive Training Program Development For National Transit Institute Agency: National Transit Institute Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey University Procurement & Contracting Administrative Services Bldg. III 3 Rutgers Plaza New Brunswick, NJ 08901-8559 ATTN: WP044 - Cindy Johnson, Buyer Phone: (732) 932-4375, ext. 2309 Fax: (732) 932-4390 E-Mail: cindyj@rci.rutgers.edu Date for receipt of proposals: February 13, 2004 The National Transit Institute is accepting proposals from firms that have the capacity to produce computer-based interactive training programs in both CD-ROM and web-based formats. The firm should be able to provide the following services: project coordination through a single contact person; initial design document including the interactive course outline and technical considerations and guidelines; interface design; storyboards including audio script and programming notes; media development (audio/video/graphics); programming/production; and testing and quality assurance. The National Transit Institute (NTI) is seeking a firm that has the ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously, provide fast turnaround, and produce projects on schedule and within budget. The firm must be willing to provide an individual who will serve as the representative for all projects. NTI requires a firm that will consistently provide high quality applications with a consistent graphic identity and user interface, maintaining and enhancing it across projects, so that individual programs have both identity and coherence. Experience in producing front line employee health and safety training is required. Familiarity with a university environment and experience in producing applications oriented to a transit or transportation environment is an asset. The subcontract is three (3) years with a two (2) year option exercised solely at the discretion of Rutgers University. Fax or e-mail requests will be accepted; telephone requests are unacceptable. RFP?s will not be faxed. Requests received by January 9, 2004 will be honored. RFPs will be mailed out shortly thereafter. Proposers submitting and signing the proposal documents must be the original requesters of the proposal package.
