- Description
- The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's (NOAA's) Aircraft Operations Center (AOC) Cessna Citation II, serial number 550-0021 unit 0011, FAA registration N52RF shall require full maintenance scheduled and unschedule, avionics repair and installations, paint and interior, servicing, inspections, support and parts, on an as needed basis for the upcoming year. The aircraft's primary mission is a survey platform for the National Oceans Service's, Remote Sensing Division in Silver Springs, Maryland. Two aerial survey ports have been incorporated under ButlerAvcon STC SA2040CE. The airframe has 7300 hours since new. The aircraft averages 350 to 400 hours a year. NOAA's Aircraft Operations Center (AOC) in Tampa, Florida manages the aircraft which is operated nation wide, with by-annual trips to Alaska, Hawaii, and the other U.S. territories. The Contractor shall provide a full service, Fixed Base of Operations (FBO), that can support the Cessna Citation aircraft. Labor, materials, equipment, special tools, and facilities shall be located at the FBO to provide the Government with the most cost effective support package. Maintenance contractors must provide proof that the facility performing the required services is an FAA approved repair station for the Cessna Citation class aircraft, engines, accessories, and avionics. The contractor shall, at its own expense provide and maintain hull liability insurance of not less than $2,000,000.00 to cover the aircraft on which this work will be performed. Before award the Contractor shall provide written documentation that the required insurance has been obtained. The NAICS Code 488190 applies. This acquisition is not set aside for small business. This acquisition is being conducted as a simplified acquisition under the authority of FAR Part 13. The Central Administrative Support Center (CASC), Acquisition Management Division (AMD), requires that all contractors doing business with this Acquisition Office must be registered with the Central Contractor Registry (CCR).
