The United States Marine Corps Systems Command (MARCORSYSCOM), PM PM AAVS are interested in receiving information on a requirement for the disassembly, preinduction testing, remanufacture or repair, reassembly and validation testing of approximately 327 each hydrostatic steering units (HSU). The following information is provided and will be required for the 327 units. The HSUs should be inspected, pre-induction tested, disassembled, remanufactured or repaired, reassembled and validation tested to ensure that the units adhere to and function according to the specification on drawing 5428660 revision A (available from the Contracting Officer via email request). The HSU for the AAV has part number 5419074 and NSN 2530-01-125-0461. The contractor should suggest product improvements to the HSUs for engineering change processing and government approval. The product improvements should be incorporated in the HSUs following government approval. The contractor should be responsible for the transportation of the units back to the government facility following work completed. The government will be responsible for transporting the units to the contractor. This notice does not constitute an Invitation for Bids (IFB) or a Request for Proposal (RFP) and is not a commitment by the U.S. Marine Corps to procure subject systems. The Government is only seeking possible sources for potential future needs. No solicitation document exists at this time. Information may be submitted any time during the above stated period. There is no specific format or outline for providing such vendor information. However, it is requested that interested sources provide sufficient descriptive literature and other pertinent information to provide the fullest understanding of the system capabilities. The Government is not liable for any costs associated with the submittal of such vendor information.
