Description

The National Park Service intends to issue a Prospectus for two concession contracts to provide guided horseback rides from dude ranches into Grand Teton National Park. New concessioners will be responsible for providing their own base of operations outside park boundaries. Offerors that are selected as the new concessioners are not obliged to purchase any personal property (equipment and supplies) utilized by the existing concessioners in their operations. The existing concession permits between the National Park Service and the existing concessioners expire by limitation of time on December 31, 2003. The Director, pursuant to 36 CFR Part 51, has determined that the existing concessioners are both Preferred Offerors for the new contracts. Two contracts will be issued for this commercial service. The length of the new contracts will be for ten (10) years. Any offer, including that of the existing concessioners, must be received by the Chief, Business Resources Division, Grand Teton National Park, P.O. Box 170, Moose, WY 83012 (Federal Express address: Moose Warehouse, Moose, WY 83012) no later than ninety (90) days after the date of publication of this notice in order to be evaluated and considered for an award of a concession contract to provide guided horseback rides from dude ranches into Grand Teton National Park. Effective Date: The Prospectus will be issued for a 90-day response period under the terms described in the Prospectus, with proposals due on March 1, 2004, no later than 4:00 p.m. There is a printing cost recovery charge of $35 per copy to be delivered via Federal Express or $30 per copy if picked up in person. Checks or money orders (no cash accepted) must be payable to the National Park Service and the request must include a business address (no post office box) to receive a Federal Express package.
