Description

SEE UPLOADED AMENDMENT 0002 WITH REVISED SECTION B AND REVISED SPECIFICATIONS. DUE DATE REMAINS 12/8/03.---- Dockside Repairs NOAA Ship Ronald H. Brown to be performed at the Pier "Papa" at the former Charleston Naval Station, on Hobson Avenue. This is the Coast Guard Pier, located near NOAA's Pier "Romeo". Performance period to commence on or about December 15, 2003, and shall be completed on or before January 26, 2003, (42 calendar) Basic contract items are Drive Motors Cleaning and Inspection, No. 2 & 5 Diesel Generator 20,000 Hr. Overhaul, Elevator Door Sill Installation, Galley/Laundry Ventilation Cleaning, No. 2 & 3 Diesel Generator Plate Cooler Install, Watertight Door Renewals, Forward Mast Modification, Kick Pipe Renewals, HVAC Modifications, Misc. Piping, Galley Equipment Renewals, and Weather Deck. Non-Skid Renewal. Option Items are Wet Lab Deck Renewal and Bridge False Overhead Removal. NOAA Ship Ronald H. Brown will be available for inspection December 2, 2003 at Pier "Papa", a former Charleston Naval Base. Brown: Length Overall - 274 ft.- 0 in., Beam (Molded) - 52 ft. - 6 in., Draft, Navigational - 19 ft. - 0 in., Displacement (FL) - 3250 LT, Displacement (LS) - 2100 LT, Gross Tonage - 3180 G.T., Depth to Main Deck - 26 ft. - 6 in., Machinery Plant - Split Bus Diesel Electric, Diesel Generators: Three Caterpillar 3516 with Kato A248440000 @1,500 KW each , Three Caterpillar 3508 with Kato A24841000 @ 715 KW each, Motors - Propulsors - Two @ 3,000 HP Fixed Pitch Z-Drive, Bow Thruster - One @ 1,180 HP Azimuthing Jet Drive. This is a 100% small business set-aside. All responsible small business sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the agency.
