- The Federal Aviation Administration, Washington Headquarters, Terminal Business Service anticipates the award of a sole source contract with Sony Electronics, Incorporated of San Diego, CA for the repair maintenance ofe 2,215 Sony Data Display Monitors (DDM) that are deployed in the Standard Terminal Automated Replacement System (STARS) at various locations within the United States. A fixed price service contract is anticipated. Sony is the original equipment manufacturer of the DDM(s) and is the only known source that is capable to fulfill the needs for this requirement. The expected period of performance for this requirement is three years that includes the base year and two one-year options. The repair maintenance for the Sony MDM(s) may include but is not limited to the following: ?? Repair services for digital display monitors and boards. ?? Engineering Support Services. ?? Digital display monitor training services. This announcement will be open from December 1, 2003 to December 16, 2003. A sole source award will be made to Sony Electronics of San Diego, CA if no other contractors are identified that have full knowledge and the capability to perform the services for this requirement. Contractors that believe they are capable of performing the services should forward a capability statement to Mr. Sherlock Bruce, (Sherlock.Bruce@faa.dot.gov). Capability statements should not be more than fifteen pages. This is not a Request for Proposal.
