- GROUNDS MAINTENANCE SERVICES, HURLBURT FIELD, FL. Hurlburt Field is an Air Force installation that is located in the Florida Panhandle mid-way between Panama City and Pensacola, Florida. This acquisition is set-aside 100% for small business concerns. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 561730 with a size standard of $6.0 million. The award will be a Firm-Fixed Price contract with four option years. The contractor shall provide all management, personnel, equipment, tools, supervision, and other items and services necessary to ensure that grounds maintenance and landscaping services are performed in accordance with the requirements of the Statement of Work (SOW) and drawings. Work shall primarily consist of mowing, trimming, edging, weeding, pruning, fertilizing, irrigating, winterizing, and other specific requirements necessary to maintain a neat and professional appearance covering approximately 350 acres of designated areas on Hurlburt Field. Additionally, sprinkler systems shall be maintained at several facilities throughout the base. Plants, trees, sod, and shrubs shall be maintained and/or removed or replaced when necessary. The forthcoming solicitation will be issued in accordance with FAR 52.232.18, Availability of Funds. The issuance date for this solicitation is projected to be on/about 09 December 2003. PROSPECTIVE CONTRACTORS MUST BE REGISTERED IN THE CENTRAL CONTRACTOR REGISTRATION DATABASE PRIOR TO AWARD OF A GOVERNMENT CONTRACT. OFFERORS ARE FURTHER ADVISED THAT FAILURE TO REGISTER IN THE DOD CENTRAL CONTRACTOR REGISTRATION DATABASE WILL RENDER YOUR FIRM INELIGIBLE FOR AWARD. REGISTRATION REQUIRES APPLICANTS TO HAVE A DUNS NUMBER. RECOMMEND REGISTERING IMMEDIATELY IN ORDER TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR TIMELY AWARD.
