- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This Request for Quotation incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 01-17. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 336611. The small business size standard is 1000 employees. This is an unrestricted procurement. The purchase order will be awarded using simplified acquisition procedures in accordance with FAR Part 13 as a firm fixed price supply purchase order. The USCGC Dallas has a requirement to fabricate and install various stainless steel galley cabinets as per attached statement of work and drawings. The drawings are for informational purposes only and companies interested in performing the work will be required to visit the ship site for measurements. Site visits will be scheduled for December 15, 2003. The work is to be performed on USCGC Dallas, NESU Charleston, 1050 Register St., Charleston, SC 29405. Anticipated award date is the first week of January 2004. Work must be completed by February 15, 2004. The work statement addresses applicable documents and requirements such as; tag-out, gas-freeing requirements, welding and brazing, weld inspection, fire extinguishers, interferences, renewal, touch-up preservation, deck covering and quality assurance. All questions concerning this request for quotation shall be directed to Ms. Sherri Peele at 757-628-4640. To receive an award the company must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration Database (CCR) http://www.dlis.dla.mil/ccr/default.asp. The Coast Guard does not own nor can it provide specifications, plans, drawings or other technical data. Inspection and acceptance shall be at destination after completion of job. Work is required to be complete by February 15, 2004. Anticipated award date is January 6, 2004. All responsible sources may submit a quote, which shall be considered by the Agency.
