Description
NA The Seattle District US Army Corps of Engineers has a requirement to for professional services for Howard Hanson Dam Additional Water Storage Project, Fish Passage Facility Design. CONTRACTOR SERVICES. The contractor shall furnish all services, labor, mat erials, supplies, and equipment required to conduct the tasks necessary to accomplish the work required under this SOW, for the following: BASE ITEMS Task 1 ?????? 65%Design Task 1A. Review Fish Passage Facility Design. Review of the 65% Design of the Fish Passage Facility (FPF) for the Howard Hanson Dam (HHD) Additional Water Storage Project (AWSP). Review includes evaluation of the major design components and planned ope ration of the facility against defined hydraulic, structural, and biologic design criteria. Assume 8 hours per week for 16 weeks for coordination with the Corps design team and FPTC (128 hours). Review documents; 1) 65% Design Document Report, and 2) Fin al Adaptive Monitoring & Management Plan. Estimate 40 hours, to review the materials, submit written review comments, and attend one 8 hour meeting. A total of 168 hours is expected under this optional item. Task 1B. Fish Passage Technical Committee Meetings. Attend up to 2 review meetings (8 hours per meeting inclusive of travel time) at Seattle District, as required, during the FPF design. A total of 16 hours is expected under this optional item. Task 1C. Review of Physical Scale Models. Review described design of physical component models, screen and sectional, of the fish passage facility. Estimate 8 hours to review and comment on described design of physical component models. Payment will be based on actual hours worked. OPTIONAL ITEMS Task 2 (Option 1) ?????? 95% Design Task 2A. Review Fish Passage Facility Design. Review of the 95% Design of the Fish Passage Facility (FPF) for the Howard Hanson Dam (HHD) Additional Water Storage Project (AWSP). Review includes evaluation of the major design components and planned oper ation of the facility against defined hydraulic, structural, and biologic design criteria. Assume 8 hours per week for 8 weeks for coordination with the Corps design team and FPTC (64 hours). Review documents; 1) 95% Design Document Report, and 2) Draft Final Adaptive Monitoring & Management Plan. Estimate 40 hours, to review the materials, submit written review comments, and attend one 8 hour meeting. A total of 104 hours is expected under this optional item. Task 2B. Fish Passage Technical Committee Meetings. Attend up to 2 review meetings (8 hours per meeting inclusive of travel time) at Seattle District, as required, during the FPF design. A total of 16 hours is expected under this optional item. Payment will be based on actual hours worked. Government may exercise this option within 365 days of Notice to Proceed on Base Item. Task 3 (Option 2) ?????? Final Design Task 3. Review Fish Passage Facility Design. Review of the Final Design of the Fish Passage Facility (FPF) for the Howard Hanson Dam (HHD) Additional Water Storage Project (AWSP). Review includes evaluation of the major design components and planned ope ration of the facility against defined hydraulic, structural, and biologic design criteria. Assume 8 hours per week for 4 weeks for coordination with the Corps design team and FPTC (32 hours). Review documents; 1) Final Design Document Report, and 2) Fin al Adaptive Monitoring & Management Plan. Estimate 32 hours, to review the materials, submit written review comments, and attend one 8 hour meeting. A total of 64 hours is expected under this base item. Payment will be based on actual hours worked. Government may exercise this option within 365 days of Notice to Proceed on Base Item. 4. GOVERNMENT FURNISHED INFORMATION AND DOCUMENTS. The consultant will be provided the fish passage facility design as included in the HHD AWS Project Final Feasibility Report, EIS, and Hydraulics and Hydrology Append ix. Other relevant information available in project files will be made available at Mr. Donahue?????? request. This information includes background technical information gathered during the HHD AWS Project Feasibility study. 5. REVIEW COMMENTS In reviewing the AWS Project fish passage design and physical models, expect to provide oral and written comments upon request. Comments can be provided during meetings, by phone (followed with written copy of comments) or through written correspondence b y e-mail or written memorandum.
