Description

NA The US Army Robert Morris Acquisition Center (RMAC), Edgewood Division, is currently seeking qualified small business sources under a 100% small business set aside to complete the requirements under a commercial item contract for packaging mission items fo r the Joint Biological Point Detection System (JBPDS). The JBPDS Mission Pack consists of three boxes/containers having the following: (1) the first container consists of the consumable fluids including De-ionized (DI) water, Phosphate Buffer Solution ( PBS) and Detergent. [The fluids are packaged in plastic bottles and according to required safety standards]; (2) the second container consists of two sample bottles, each with septum cap; and (3) the third container consists of 100 sample vials. All liq uid consumables, containers, and vials shall be contaminant free and sterile for the entire shelf life of the consumable. Containers shall be constructed of materials that do no react with liquid consumables during storage. The anticipated effort will ha ve a base requirement of the mission packs with options for additional units as needed. See the RFP for specific requirements. It is anticipated that the RFP will be issued on or around 05 December 2003 using FAR Part 12 (Commercial Item) procedures. NA ICS code 56191 is applicable to this effort.
