- This is a sources sought for Wireless Communication at Holloman Air Force Base, New Mexico. This is a SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT for INFORMATION ONLY. No award will result from this announcement. The contractor shall provide all management, tools, supplies, equipment, and labor necessary to provide cellular telephones and cellular services for 100 percent in-building (Official Facilities) coverage on Holloman AFB New Mexico and surrounding area in a manner that will ensure their serviceability and operation. The contractor will provide wireless network service/mobile data network capability to support the utilization of Blackberry (PDA) devices. The 49th Communications Squadron Network Control Center (NCC) will provide approval for wireless network utilization and Blackberry devices on accordance with Air Force directives. The Contractor shall provide pager capability to Holloman AFB subscribers for coverage on base, in the Alamogordo, New Mexico community, and the surrounding local metropolitan cities: Ruidoso, New Mexico, Las Cruces, New Mexico, and El Paso, Texas. The Contractor agrees to interconnect its equipment with the existing government-owned telephone switching equipment located in Building 221. The contractor shall use established technical criteria for ensuring continuity of service and traffic without damage or degradation of government facilities. The information is requested for market research and is not a solicitation announcement for proposals. No contract will be awarded from this announcement. No reimbursement will be made for any cost associated with providing information in response to this announcement or any follow-up information request. There is no solicitation available at this time. Responses should focus on your firm?s technical capability to provide this service. Responses to this synopsis will be used for market research to determine under what, if any, set-aside procedures this acquisition will be conducted. Small businesses (including veteran-owned, service-disabled veteran-owned, HUBZone, disadvantaged, and women-owned, other small businesses) are particularly invited to respond to express interest in submitting a proposal and to provide information as to their qualifications.
