- Description
- NASA/Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC) is seeking Capability Statements from interested small business contractors for the Realignment of Soil Conservation Road project. The project includes construction of a new 2.2 km (1.3 mile) 2-lane asphalt road through GSFC campus; a 0.6 km (0.4 mile) upgrade to Good Luck Road (a Prince Georges County collector road) from 2-lane to 4-lane, with curb & gutter, sidewalk, streetlight, and trees; installation of four minor asphalt 2-lane connecting roads of approximately 0.4 km (0.3 mile) total length; two new signalized intersections; reconstruction of MD-193/Good Luck Road existing signalized intersection; three new storm water management ponds; one non-tidal wetlands mitigation area; installation of two new perimeter guardhouses; sediment and erosion control, grading, earthwork, storm drain, reconstruction of a sanitary line, reconstruction of a parking lot, fencing, signage, striping, electrical feeds, sidewalk, streetlight, maintenance of traffic, and other incidental work to be specified in the Statement of Work. Contractor will be required to coordinate work on and with Prince George's County Government Department of Public Works and Transportation (DPW&T) and Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission property (WSSC). It is anticipated bonding for this project will be in excess of $6,000,000 and will be required to include DPW&T and WSSC as beneficiary. Award for this project is anticipated to be September 2004. This is a Sources Sought synopsis. NAICS code for this project is 237310. The size standard for this code is $28,500,000. This is a 100% Small Business Set-aside. Prospective contractors are invited to submit Capability Statements that includes their business size, bonding information, 3 most current references including the name, address, point of contact, telephone and a brief description of the type of work completed. The due date to submit your Capability Statement is November 28, 2003 at 4:00pm.
