Description
This is not a solicitation announcement; this is a sources sought synopsis ONLY for 8(a) certified contractors, NAICS Code 238210, size standard $12.0M who currently possess a TS/SCI security clearance (Top Secret/Special Compartment Information). Responses must provide proof of SBA 8(a) certification and the appropriate security clearances. Your response to this sources sought synopsis may be faxed to (805) 982-3015 Attn: Kristan Slaton or e-mailed to kristan.slaton@navy.mil. Responses to this sources sought synopsis will be used by the government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. After review of the responses to this synopsis, and if the government still plans to proceed with the acquisition, a solicitation announcement will be published in FEDBIZOPPS and the NAVFAC E-sol website. No solicitation is currently available. All interested offerors will have to respond to the solicitation announcement at a later time. The resulting solicitation (if any) will be for a Firm Fixed Price, Multiple Award Construction Contract (MACC) for Critical Power System Construction Services, Installation, and Special Compartment Information Facility Construction at Various Locations Worldwide. The emphasis of the required support will be for minor planning, inspection, installation, maintenance, repair, modification and upgrade of SCIFs, diesel engines, fuel tanks, electrical generators, UPS, battery systems, distribution systems and protective equipment as well as the construction of associated facilities. This support may be required in the form of heavy or light construction, renovation, repair, fabrication and installation of project components, equipment, and systems. The contract will be awarded for a base year and four (4) one year options to at least three (3) contractors. The maximum, aggregate value of the base year and all options is $100 million with an estimated cumulative total of $25 million per year for all awarded contracts. It is estimated that 30% of the work will be performed at overseas sites and 50%-75% of the work will require an SCI clearance. Responses to this sources sought synopsis must be received no later than COB on 29 October 2003. This notice is to assist the NAVFAC Contracts Office, Port Hueneme, CA in determining potential sources only. This sources sought synopsis is not to be construed as a commitment by the government, nor will the government pay for the information solicited. The POC is Kristan Slaton.
